This commitment to these community colleges in Eastern Oregon is part of a larger strategy including previous financial support to Eastern Oregon University for both their masters and bachelor’s level programs. GOBHI’s overarching goal is to develop more behavioral health professionals as a response to the behavioral health professional shortage in rural and frontier communities. In 2024, GOBHI created a Workforce Development Endowment to fund future programming, career and educational opportunities.”
