Greater Oregon Behavioral Health, Inc. is a rural / frontier Behavioral Health and Social Services Network empowering individuals and communities to achieve better health.

Founded in 1994, GOBHI is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit corporation that is charged with administering the behavioral health Medicaid benefit, non-emergent medical transportation and community engagement in 12 rural and frontier counties in Oregon. GOBHI is a co-owner of the Eastern Oregon Coordinated Care Organization, along with Moda Health, and also provides various direct services statewide.

Our Programs

GOBHI provides a wide array of programs and initiatives in service of behavioral health and wellness throughout Oregon.

Choice Model

Provides services to help people with mental health disabilities remain in their community of “choice.”

Community Engagement & Health Systems

Develops productive local partnerships in order to facilitate locally-driven health system transformation.

Early Assessment and Support Alliance (EASA)

Identifies youth with symptoms of psychosis as early as possible, and provides support and treatment 

Frontier Veggie Rx

If eligible, people may receive prescriptions to buy healthy fruits and vegetables at participating stores or farmers’ markets.

Intensive In-Home Behavioral Health Therapy

An Oregon Health Plan (OHP) level of care for youth and families who have intensive behavioral health symptoms, multisystem needs, and/or are at risk of placement disruption

Older Adult Behavioral Health Initiative

Creates effective, collaborative relationships across systems to better meet the behavioral
health needs of older and disabled adults in each community

Peer Services

Supporting providers and healthcare partners within the EOCCO service area in the recruitment and training of Traditional Health Workers (THWs).

Rental Assistance Program

A combination of financial assistance and supportive services that allows an individual to live as independently as possible in their own home.

Substance Use Disorders

GOBHI is committed to ensuring our members have access to all levels of substance use disorder services.

Trauma Informed Care

GOBHI is committed to becoming trauma informed as an organization and to promoting trauma informed care principles within its affiliated healthcare service organizations and the communities in which our members reside.

Triple P

The Positive Parenting Program® is a parenting and family support system designed to prevent – as well as treat – behavioral and emotional problems in children and teenagers.

Non-Emergent Medical Transportation (NEMT)

The GOBHI Non-Emergent Medical Transportation program offers free rides to health appointments for Oregon Health Plan (OHP) members in Eastern Oregon. Rides are available for covered services under the Oregon Health Plan. Services may be medical, mental health, and dental.

The Oregon Center on Behavioral Health & Criminal Justice

This statewide program, in partnership with the Oregon Health Authority, enhances knowledge and improves practices aimed at treating people who, primarily due to symptoms of serious behavioral health conditions, neurocognitive conditions, and/or intellectual/developmental disabilities, are at risk of becoming incarcerated
or are already within the system. OCBHJI Is a specialized division of GOBHI.

Oregon Kinship Navigator

Created in partnership with DHS Child Welfare, the Oregon Kinship Navigator provides support, guidance, and resources to non-parent relative caretakers throughout their parenting journeys. Oregon Kinship Navigator offers online support groups and parenting support, resource referral, and a legal resource guide.

OKN is housed within the Children’s Team at GOBHI.
